Hot and heavy on the heels of their critically acclaimed 2016 self-titled release, Geezer is not intent to rest on their merits alone it would seem. The New York-based band has just announced their follow-up, ‘Psychoriffadelia’, which will see release in the months ahead.
The plan is that the five-song, 39-minute long-player will be out on June 9th, through Kozmik Artifactz in Europe and STB Records in the US. The news comes as Geezer prepares to head to Europe for some extensive appearances there, details of which are below.
For ‘Psychoriffadelia‘, Geezer underwent a membership change that sees guitarist / vocalist Pat Harrington and bassist Richie Touseull now joined by drummer Charles Ruggiero. Ruggiero is stepping in for Chris Turco and is a former bandmate of Harrington‘s from the band Slunt. Turco handled drums on the last album as well as the 2014 LP, ‘Gage’ and their 2013 début, ‘Electrically Recorded Handmade Heavy Blues’.
Ruggiero will take part in the aforementioned European tour and the band has set up a crowdfunding campaign to help with the inevitable expenses of making the trip. Some rewards include an exclusive die-hard edition of the LP. More details on the campaign are below.

Geezer has launched an Indiegogo campaign to help offset some of the expenses of the trip. Exclusive perks will include a “Die Hard” Edition of ‘Psychoriffadelia’, which will have a screen-printed cover jacket with alternate artwork and multi-colored vinyl. Other perks include tour posters and shirts designed by Jo Riou, CD and digital versions of the new album, as well as never-before-available embroidered patches, and other exclusive perks. The campaign is already up and will run until Friday, May 26th at this location.
Geezer will head to Europe in mid-June where they will play at Freak Valley Festival 2017 (June 15-17th) before embarking on their full EU tour run.
