One of the recently revealed bands that I have been excitedly awaiting to share their début album is River Black. Much of my excitement stems from the roster of musicians within the unit themselves, several of whom were once part of the band Burnt By The Sun (who I loved).
In fact, this “supergroup” is comprised of drummer Dave Witte (Municipal Waste, formerly Discordance Axis, Burnt By The Sun), bassist Brett Bamberger (Revocation), vocalist Mike Oldender and guitarist John Adubato (both ex-Burnt By The Sun).
With such an incredible line present within River Black‘s roll call, it’s a no brainer that their just-released, self-titled début is a work to be heard, indeed. It was unleashed only yesterday (July 7th) from Season Of Mist. Today, Riff Relevant is stoked to bring it to you streaming in full below.
Dave Witte commented on the album as well saying:
“We’re happy this animal is getting released into the wild,. We worked hard on it for a while and its time has finally come. There are many pictures painted in this music, may it motivate you.“
The S/T début from River Black is out now and available for purchase here.
