Montreal-based psychedelic rock trio A Devil’s Din will issue their third official full-length album this Friday, Sept. 29th. ‘One Hallucination Under God‘ is the lysergic-laced long-playing follow-up to ‘Skylight’ (2016) and ‘One Day All This Will Be Yours’ (2011). Riff Relevant is one of the few websites where you can stream this amazing album now, several days before its release.
A Devil’s Din is the psychedelic brainchild of UK-born / Montreal-based multi-instrumentalist David Lines. He is joined on his creative journey by a disciple of the Rickenbaker bass Thomas Chollet and virtuoso drummer Dom Salameh. The trio oozes heady, halcyon music inspired by the likes of late 60’s era Beatles, Syd Barret-era Pink Floyd, Byrds, and Led Zeppelin.
Guitarist and vocalist Dave Lines comments:
“If I had to describe the album in one word it would be: fun. There are plenty of head-boppin’ moments and there’s a really nice flow that takes you from earth to the stars and back in less than an hour. We got sweet fuzzed-out guitar tones, harmonies, melodies, hooks…and gongs!
It’s a nice ride. And embedded throughout are certain words and phrases designed to elicit new ideas, widen the field of perception, and inspire a more cosmic outlook on life. Which is also fun. Especially on acid. It’s an incredible place to be as an artist: creatively free, without any limitations, so we can offer the world our fun and fuzzy freakadelic rock music.”
‘One Hallucination Under God‘ will be available on iTunes and Bandcamp as of September 29th, 2017.
