The O.C. CA heavy alt. rock act Project 86 are nearing their 20th anniversary of activity and what better way to celebrate than with a new album? The band is currently working on their tenth studio album titled ‘Sheep Among Wolves‘ and has shared a hard-hitting track from it with us.
The new record is set for release on December 5th. “MHS” is typical P86 in the fashion that it showcases a furious assault of unleashed musical aggression. Yet for every pulsating moment of volatility, there is an equally subtler, more melodic expression also. Check out “MHS” below.
Vocalist Andrew Schwab reflected on the band’s legacy, fans, and the new record, commenting:
“How many bands make 10 records? And how many bands can confidently say their later releases can even compete with their earlier material? We honestly believe these songs are strong enough to turn the ear of even the most apathetic listeners who still have a place in their hearts reserved for rock music.“
“We are nothing without our supporters,” states the band. “We think we have given them, along with anyone who would listen, a collection of songs which will be enjoyed for months and years to come.“
Project 86 has launched a PledgeMusic campaign (here) connected to the new album and will soon be announcing tour dates supporting it.
