From the Mile High City of Denver comes the latest offering from the merciless trio of Evan Salvador (Guitars, Vocals) Patrick Leyn (Bass), and Evan Knight (Drums). The guys, otherwise known as Pile Of Priests, will self-release their new EP, ‘Tenebrous Labyrinth‘, on November 24th… Black Friday!
It is the perfect date to unleash this monstrous musical savagery too because this is music not intended for the weak of heart. Scathing emanations of thrashened death metal exude with each moment of sinister sonic output. Nearly each of them is tempered with volatility and throat-wrenching vocals and guitarist/ vocalist extraordinaire Evan Salvador was all too happy to comment on today’s shared title cut:
“TENEBROUS LABYRINTH IS THE TITLE TRACK OFF OUR UPCOMING EP; IT’S ABOUT THE DARK PLACES OF THE MIND THAT DEPRESSION AND PARANOIA CAN INDUCE, A ‘LABYRINTH’ OF THOUGHTS IF YOU WILL. WE HAVE ALL AGREED THAT THIS EP IS THE PINNACLE OF OUR SOUND THUS FAR. IT’S FAST, EVIL, MELODIC, AND INCORPORATES OTHER STYLES OF METAL BESIDES JUST DEATH METAL.“
Check out our Soundcloud stream of that title track below. The rest of the EP is filled out with two more originals and three cover songs including classics from Coroner, Sadus, and Kreator. Pre-order / purchase the EP now at this location.
