RVA-based (Richmond, VA) psychedelic doom band Windhand have just released their official video for “Old Evil“. The song hails from the band’s upcoming split release with Satan’s Satyrs, due for release on CD, vinyl LP, and digital formats on February 16th from Relapse Records.
The two bands share many common threads, from amp-emitted heaviness to occult overtones. They’re also bonded by their home roots, originating from the Commonwealth Of Virginia, so what better pair to unite together on a shared release?
The upcoming split includes two brand new songs of somber gloom and sonic grief from Windhand, paired with three tracks of devil-friendly, fuzz rock ‘n punk roll from Satan’s Satyrs. Pre-order the split here.
Following the release, Windhand will embark upon a quick run down the West Coast next spring, after a record release show with Satan’s Satyrs in RVA (more dates TBA).
