Sweden’s blackened thrash attack known as the 2017-formed Dreadful Fate are streaming their début EP, ‘The Sin Of Sodom‘, here via Soundcloud today. Although originally issued on cassette, Norway’s Edged Circle Productions have just issued the vinyl format of it this week, on December 20th.
Extreme aggression with a slashing, scathing sonic onslaught is what the label has caught with this slab of merciless death/thrash on limited edition wax. The trio of tunes, the title track “The Sin Of Sodom”, “Unholy Lust”, and a cover of Kreator’s “Tormentor”, are as vicious as the quartet behind their recording.
Vocalist Bestial (ex-Hypnosia), guitarist Death Ripper has been in nearly every Swedish band that has existed including Entombed A.D., drummer Corpse Skelethor (also of Deströyer 666, In Aeternum, and Nominon) and bassist Total Destruction was part of Merciless’ glorious mid-’80s to mid-’90s era. This is a foursome that knows nothing but brutality in every way musically possible.
