The veteran San Francisco Bay area’s hard rock icons Y&T, which consists of founder and lone original member Dave Meniketti along with John Nymann (guitar, vocals), Mike Vanderhule (drums), and Aaron Leigh (bass), have shared some interesting news.
The news is that Y&T will release their first-ever acoustic EP, ‘Acoustic Classix Vol. 1‘, in January. Recorded earlier this month, the effort contains six classic Y&T songs, including a few songs fans might not expect to hear performed acoustically, each with a different spin.
Says the band: “This is a very special EP that gives Y&T fans a whole new way to enjoy these classic Y&T tunes.“
Y&T will begin 2018 with this unexpected item as the band has had a successful 2017 with tours and appearances. Not bad for a band that has now released 25 albums and 11 singles since 1976.
