The lysergic-lavish, garagey head rock of Painted Doll is continuing to garner amounts of well-deserved attention.
Where that attention began as an interest in the band’s unique union, comedian Dave Hill and Autopsy’s Chris Reifert, it is rapidly increasing due to the gradual musical output from the pair. Beginning when the duo announced their partnership in Painted Doll with an official video première, “Together Alone” (streaming below), it is now burgeoning because of that music.
That appeal will surely grow by leaps and bounds with today’s latest offering, the new songs “Hidden Hand” and “Dressing Room“. Check out the psychedelic summoning of Painted Doll‘s Blue Öyster Cult-meets-Donovan (Philips Leitch) sound.
The self-titled début from Painted Doll will arrive from Tee Pee Records on February 16th but is currently available for pre-order here.
