The Calgary, AB-based Woodhawk is announcing their 2018 Canadian “Magnetic North Tour” trek across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. Plus, the trio will be performing for its first time in Ontario and Quebec (dates listed below).
The band comments:
“We’re excited to be hitting the road again and heading out East this time. We haven’t played past Winnipeg yet and we’re stoked to finally make it out there.”
The tour will be in support of Woodhawk‘s magnificent 2017 album ‘Beyond The Sun‘, recently named the #12 most played release on the Canadian College Radio Top 20 Loud Charts for 2017.
‘Beyond The Sun’ was produced by the band with Jesse Gander (Bison, Japandroids) and is the follow-up to the band’s 2014 self-titled EP. The record garnered the band immense critical acclaim for their riff-driven uniqueness and other factors such as time-travel-tested themes of science fiction, swords, and sorcery.
The album is available on digital, vinyl, CD, and streaming at Bandcamp here.
Woodhawk is: Kevin Nelson – Drums, Mike Badmington – Bass/Vocals, Turner Midzain – Guitar/Vocals
