The Lone Star State harbingers of opaquely sullen doom, Destroyer Of Light, will return with its ‘Hopeless‘ EP via Heavy Friends Records on May 11th.
They have just premiered a new promotional video too, one for the song “Nyx” from the EP. It is one of two lengthy compositions contained on the recording which, according to the PR release, “…deals directly with depression, suicide and drug addiction“.
Guitarist/vocalist Steve Colca further elaborated:
“With Hopeless, I wanted to focus more on my clean singing, and our song writing has become more melodic while still maintaining the heavy riffs. We don’t limit ourselves to what we write, and the direction you’ll hear on this EP is a taste of what’s to come in the future.”
Destroyer Of Light is:
Steve Colca – Guitar, Vocals
Nick Coffman – Bass
Keegan Kjeldsen – Guitar, Synth
Penny Turner – Drums
