Portland, Oregon’s COFFIN ROT have just unleashed their debut release, a self-titled ‘Demo’ that arrived through Rotted Life Records on April 13th.
Wielding a fatalistic style of masterfully old-school type death metal, this four-song recording is a battering introduction to the band. It is being shared by COFFIN ROT at this time, streaming in its entirety and able to leave corpses in its wake.
The trio within the band – Hayden Johnson (Vocals), Tre Guertner (Guitar), and Derek Johnson (Drums) – serves up depraved, extreme metal. The type of which is pure and brutal, and so much so that it is sure to make fans of acts like Bolt Thrower, Benediction, Massacre, and the like quickly embrace COFFIN ROT.
