ACE FREHLEY, the legendary former guitarist of KISS, is turning 67 years old today, April 27th!
Yet it is ACE who’s sharing presents with us as he issues a brand new single, “Bronx Boy“, his first new original track since releasing his ‘Space Invader’ album in 2014. ‘Space Invader’ turned out to be Frehley’s most successful solo album since his 1978 eponymous release, selling over 50,000 copies and reaching No. 9 on the Billboard 200 chart.
“Bronx Boy” is a scorching rock song in the vein of traditional Frehley output, and yes, it includes a ripping solo. Frehley has also announced the upcoming release of a new album, but any specific details ala the album’s title, artwork, or street date have yet to be unveiled.
Frehley does promise a release sometime this summer but until then, dig “Bronx Boy” and HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ACE!
