The jittery, chaotic mayhem of the new album ‘Microphone’s Counter Attack‘ from Japan’s noise-punk outfit SUZISUZI is being shared in a full stream today.
The album is being issued on CD and digital download from Pure Evil Records on May 25th. It is the follow-up to the 2016 release from the band, ‘Scream Addict’.
SUZISUZI (FYI – “suzi” in Japanese means “vein”) formed 15 years ago, when Kaori, the vocalist of iconic metal punks Yellow Machinegun, joined forces with guitarist IxSxO and drummer Murochin of the Tokyo punks Abnormals. The two bands had previously released a split together in 2000, so when Yellow Machinegun went on hiatus in 2002, it made perfect sense for Kaori to jump behind the mic for SUZISUZI.
The band played its first gig in 2011, yet soon decided to add another vocalist to the band so enter K♠ from the Pure Evil Records staff. She is an old friend of Kaori’s who has helped her out with lyrics over the years, and the full 4-piece band’s live debut was in Tokyo, 2015.
SUZISUZI is:
Kaori (YELLOW MACHINEGUN)
IxSxO (ex-ABNORMALS)
Murochin (WRENCH)
K♠ (PURE EVIL)
