The Quebec-based WOODWOLF recently premiered their official video for the song “Flower Of Life“.
The song is one of several songs that will be included on the band’s upcoming debut album release, ‘Golden Road‘… but, more on that in a moment. “Flower Of Life” is a molasses-like swamp of fuzzened riffs, punchy drums, and airy vocals that combine for an amazing track of seeming drug-addled bliss.
It is reminiscent of early Monster Magnet musically, with a bit of a Mark Lanegan vocal vibe and, if you ask me, those comparisons should really pique interests. Meanwhile, an IndieGoGo crowdfunding campaign for ‘Golden Road‘ – offering pre-sale of the album to finance its final production stage – is winding down now, with only 4 days left [HERE].
There you will find a variety of perks and package options for the album, one recorded and engineered by David Lizotte and produced by Dominic Pelletier. ‘Golden Road‘ is adorned with an incredible image on the cover, created by none other than artist extraordinaire, David Paul Seymour.
Originally a trio that formed in 2013, WOODWOLF gradually morphed into the duo of singer / guitarist / songwriter Frederic Moffet and drummer Alex Boutin. The pair is now poised to introduce WOODWOLF to the entire world.
Do your part in helping make that happen now and if you’re in Quebec next week, go see the band at their album release show. Here are the details:
