Georgia’s Dead Hand is back on the sludge slab with an upcoming album, ‘Reborn Of Dead Light‘, due out Sept. 7th on Divine Mother Recordings.
This is the band’s second full-length album, their initial offerings in 2014 with both a split (with the Repellers) and an EP; their début full-length ‘Storm Of Demiurge‘ in 2015; and another split release (with Shroud Eater) in 2016.
Dead Hand is an expansive sludge experience. With keyboard instrumentation and the panorama of post-metal, they’re a truly doomed, sonic horizon whose bleak beauty deliberately unfurls a slow-rolling tsunami to sweep oceanic ruin over fallen kingdoms.
‘Reborn Of Dead Light’ is set for release on September 7, 2018, via their own Divine Mother Recordings label. The album was recorded and mixed between February and September 2017, with mastering completed in January 2018, all by Matt Washburn at Ledbelly Sound Studio in Dawsonville, GA.
The striking album cover artwork and design are by Jean Saiz (of Shroud Eater). You can stream the first two tracks via Bandcamp now, with all album details and pre-order links below, along with Dead Hand‘s upcoming live tour dates.
