Washington D.C.’s primordially abhorrent exuders of misanthropic doom, ILSA, issue a new official video, “Old Maid“.
The video was directed by Jeffrey Sisson (Exhumed, Gruesome), while the track itself hails from ILSA‘s recent Relapse Records release, ‘Corpse Fortress‘. The clip seemingly portrays events ripped straight from the Salem witch trials, its stark black and white presentation adding to the morose impact of these unfolding transgressions we bear witness to.
ILSA released ‘Corpse Fortress’ via Relapse in March, it was recorded by Kevin Bernsten (Full Of Hell, Code Orange, Magrudergrind, Integrity) in Baltimore, Maryland at Developing Nations. Its contents consist of nine tracks of bleak, punishing sludge and blackened doom, the sort that leaves cadavers and ruins in its wake.
‘Corpse Fortress’ is available now on CD, LP, deluxe LP, and digital formats via Relapse Records and we are including a stream of it here. Physical packages are available on Relapse.com [link]and digital downloads via all retail outlets [link].
In ILSA related news, the band will join the Missouri-based doom trio FISTER this fall for a short run of U.S. and Canadian live dates. The tour begins November 16th in San Diego, California, and ends November 22nd in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Before that tour launches, ILSA will perform select shows with MONOLORD and ALL PIGS MUST DIE starting TONIGHT (9/5) in Boston, MA. See all confirmed dates below the video.
