WOLVES IN THE THRONE ROOM Southern Lord Re-Issues Classics; Confirms Tours w/ BEHEMOTH & AT THE GATES

Southern Lord Records are considered one of underground music’s most forward-thinking, trailblazing outlets… and one that celebrates its 20th Anniversary this year.

Since the label’s formation by two of extreme music’s highly influential personages (and sometimes bandmates), Greg Anderson (Thorr’s Hammer, Goatsnake, Sunn O)), Teeth Of Lions Rule The Divine) and Stephen O’Malley (Burning Witch, Sunn O)), Khanate), Southern Lord has risen to the forefront of independent labels releasing music through artist-friendly means.

To celebrate the two decades that have passed since the inception of Southern Lord Records, they’ve announced the re-issuance of all three of the label’s acclaimed albums from WOLVES IN THE THRONE ROOM; ‘Two Hunters’, ‘Black Cascade’, and ‘Celestial Lineage’.

The band offered the following about the upcoming album reissues, saying:

“We are thrilled that Two Hunters, Black Cascade, and Celestial Lineage are back in print. These records document a fertile and magical time in our lives and we are so pleased that a new generation of fans will be able to enjoy these records on vinyl.”


Each will soon be offered as a special LP reissue offered on limited edition, silver vinyl. Both Southern Lord and WOLVES IN THE THRONE ROOM will offer black vinyl formats, in stock by mid-September. The band will also be offering autographed editions and limited bundles from their web store at WITTR.com

Reflecting on the label and its milestone anniversary, Greg Anderson shared:

Indeed, Greg… job well done and mission accomplished (although ongoing)! The great news does not end there, as WOLVES IN THE THRONE ROOM has announced details on a pair of upcoming tours. The first of them is the “Ecclesia Diabolica America 2018 e.v.” North American Tour with BEHEMOTH and AT THE GATES.

This incredible trek (in the U.S. and Canada) by three of extreme metal’s greatest acts will run from October 19th through November 24th. The trio of bands will then regroup early next year for the “Ecclesia Diabolica Evropa 2019 e.v.” European Tour happening from January 10th through February 11th, 2019.
