Australian blues-augmented, desert rock outfit SOUTHBOUND SNAKE CHARMERS have released their newest recorded offering, the ‘To The Bone‘ EP.
The short player’s cutting collection of new tunes arrived just last week and finds the trio – Chris Denman (vocals / guitar), Nat Sutphin (bass), and Brooke Maloney (drums) – delivering some of their most profound work to date. Their fourth release altogether (following 2017’s ‘Rhythm ‘N Rust‘, 2016’s ‘Voodoo Chicken Shack‘, and 2014’s ‘The Dirty Blues‘ EP), was preceded by the recent limited edition, two-song 7″ vinyl, ‘Through The Smoke‘.
On their latest studio effort, the Melbourne band pull no punches as they indulge their knack for making incredibly gritty rock and roll. It is molten and heavy-hitting, despite this threesome’s approach of delivering their music in a most laid back manner. Nevertheless, their talent and unwavering confidence in their craft make for a rather remarkable listening experience.
Produced, mixed, and mastered by Ash Ravens (for Ash Ravens Music), the ‘To The Bone‘ EP strikes another reeling blow to the hordes of cookie-cutter acts dominating the airwaves. Featuring original artwork from Karina and Rod Foley, this six-song scorcher is available now and we are sharing a stream of the record here today.
Along with it, SOUTHBOUND SNAKE CHARMERS up the ante with a new official video for the single “No Land“, which is also streaming below along with the previously premiered clip, “Ride On“. The song was originally presented as a single in 2018, but has been newly remastered and included in the contents of ‘To The Bone‘.
