Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada’s stoner-tinged progressive metallers DEAD QUIET announced plans to release a well-anticipated new album this summer.
‘Truth And Ruin‘ will arrive on September 11th, 2020, via Artoffact Records, and is the third full-length studio album from DEAD QUIET. Comprised of members with ties to acts like Barn Burner, Hashteroid, Bend Sinister, and Anciients, the quintet is well respected and praised in the heavy music underground. With two highly impressive previous releases to their name, 2017’s ‘Grand Rites‘ (review) and 2015’s self-titled, ‘Dead Quiet‘, expectations for the upcoming release are running high.
DEAD QUIET delivers powerful renderings of dynamic contemporary heavy metal, enriched with organs and an occasional aggressive uptick. With blazing flare accentuating their over-the-top jams, this music is as much modern as it is an homage to legendary pioneers of the past. Reminiscent of such varied greats as Spiritual Beggars, Blood Of The Sun, or Deep Purple, DEAD QUIET display their influences openly.
The first single, “The Sign Of A Sealed Fate,” from ‘Truth And Ruin‘ is presented via Bandcamp stream below, plus a brand new video for the second single “Partial Darkness” is also included. Accompanying both are the album artwork, created by Taylor Borque, and other details.
